Wooden Bikes: Sila Gravel or Sila City?
Share
Sila makes wooden bikes in Montréal with handcrafted ash wood frames. The Sila Gravel and Sila City share that distinctive material, but offer different riding positions and builds. Choose around the rides you want to do.
Sila Gravel: for roads and gravel adventures
The Sila Gravel pairs a hollow reclaimed ash wood frame with a carbon fork and drop handlebars. Choose Campagnolo Ekar mechanical shifting or SRAM Rival, Force and RED AXS wireless electronic shifting. Wheel options depend on the selected build.
Start with the Gravel sizing and geometry chart, then compare the current builds and prices on the Sila Gravel product page.
Sila City: for everyday rides
The Sila City combines an ash wood frame with an upright riding position, a flat handlebar and 700 × 40 mm Schwalbe G-One Allround tires. Its build includes SRAM Rival XPLR eTap AXS wireless shifting, SRAM S200 hydraulic disc brakes and Fulcrum Rapid Red 4 wheels.

What does owning a wooden bike involve?
Wood brings a unique grain to each frame. The protective finish needs care: dry the bike after wet rides, avoid prolonged exposure to rain, snow or high humidity, and check the finish periodically. Read our wooden bike care guide for the details.
